My real great
interest is music, with a pathological addiction
to
listening to jazz in any of its representations (faithful or not), and pretending to play
it on my guitar(s).
Recently, I started studying
"Jazz
Improvisation for Guitar: A Melodic Approach" by Garrison
Fewell, which I strongly suggest to all you guitarists, even if it's
not really suitable for beginners.
(Again for you guitarists, read
this about the main concepts used in the book. Sorry for all the others..)
Moreover, I'm trying to catch (at least a bit of) the style of Grant Green through the
dedicated monography by Wolf Marshall.
"All music is folk music. I
ain't never heard a horse sing a song."
L.Armstrong
"I've changed music four or five times. What have you done of any importance other than be white?"
M.Davis, replying to a Washington society lady seated next to him who had asked him what he had done to be invited.
'A musica mia che r'e'? 'O specchio addo' me guard' e vec' chi song' je...

If you're not angry, you're just stupid, you don't care.
How else can you react
when you know
something's so unfair?
